Gold Drip

Gold Drip

'Gold Drip' is the name given to a collection of one of a kind jewellery pieces, to which we keep adding constantly. It started as a series of unique pendants, each featuring a different gemstone. The idea was to play with wax, as this material destined to melt and morph, and the contrast once cast into a solid piece of metal. The "dripping" over the gemstones suggests movement, the change of state, and constrasts beautifully with the rigid aspect of the stone.

Recently, I got my hands back on a string of baroque pearls, acquired years ago in Paris, and forgotten in a box... I started playing with the funky shapes and came up with this heavily dripping pearl pendant.
This necklace features a bronze cast pendant, with a focal baroque white pearl and lots of droplet details. The pendant was made from jeweller's wax, specifically to fit the pearl selected, before being casted, through the process of lost wax casting. We high polished the pieces for a super high shine and again add contrast to the pearls. We used a flat curb chain and opted for a closure on the front.
