Lonely Hearts Club Ring

Part of a tiny capsule collection inspired by the flower power, Free Love vibes of the 1960s each of these one of a kind pieces is shaped by a characteristic song of the era. 
 
Growing up my dad had a wonderful record collection ranging from 60s pop, rock, experimental and classical music. He taught me to use the record player from a young age and encouraged me to explore the collection - everything was so unfamiliar and seemed so grown up. Part of the experience of listening to the records was also drinking in the album art, poring over the lyrics printed in the sleeves, it was a sensory delight. 

Here I've dipped back into those memories and some of my favourite songs of the time creating a few unique and whimsical pieces to encapsulate the kaleidoscopic and mellow feel of those sundrenched afternooons. 
 
Each piece is created with stones and jeweller's wax, which we carve and then cast. This is called the lost wax technique (where the wax is melted out and replaced by molten metal). We then hand polish and finish each piece, before sending them to be gold plated in London's Hatton Garden district.

Each of these rings is completely unique and one of a kind. They can never be reproduced exactly the same.
